A typical day at ARCADIA NIOS

The day commences at 09:30 hrs. with prayer, seeking the blessings of Lord Vighneswara, the remover of all obstacles, and obeisance to the Guru of all gurus Guru Dakshinamurthy, setting the proper atmosphere for dedicated learning, that is the path to all knowledge and wisdom, in the minds of the impressionable teenage students of both sexes.

 

The forenoon session has been divided into two individual sessions of 45 minutes each, taking cognizance of the well-proven optimum attention span of the same duration. The afternoon session has also been structured likewise. The half-an-hour break between 11:30 hrs. and 12:00 hrs., enables the students to mingle with each other and to have lunch together in an informal and friendly manner, thus bringing about camaraderie and esprit-de-corps amongst them.

 

8 members of the faculty, who are specialists in their respective spheres of education, take every care to see that attention is given to the 40 students on a one-to-one basis.  

The school closes for the day at 13:30 hrs.

About us

Arcadia NIOS  has the primary objective of imparting education to students who are unable to attend regular school due to various reasons like the following :

  • If you are a sports person and need to dedicate more time for practice

  • Students preparing for IIT, NEET, JEE exams and cannot spend time in regular school

  • Cannot cope up with Maths and Science

  • Has learning difficulties

  • Has social phobia

  • Dyslexic  , Hyper active , Health issues , Personality maladjustment , mild Autism and high functioning Autism

  • Has a specific ambition and do not want to go through the regular subject .

About Founder

FOUNDER -

Hemalatha , A graduate in commerce and P.G. in Computer Science has been involved in teaching children in schools both in India and Dubai. With 25 years of experience in dealing with diverse group of students and maintaining national curriculam standards, she promotes enthusiasm among students for learning and competing in the world.

Arcadia was started as a beyond school concept By Hemalatha Muralidharan in the year 1999. Providing students with academic help in all subjects  and assisted with co-curricular activities, their strength has been in constructing class rooms to carefully  ensure that students are learning in a safe, constructive and friendly environment. With a staff strength of 14 teachers, arcadia has helped many students excel in life both in academic and other activities.

Founder (Mrs. Hemalatha Muralidharan)

A sister concern of arcadia found its inception in the year 2018 by Mrs. Hemalatha Muralidharan .

Mrs. Hemalatha Muralidharan was teaching ina city school which caters to children with learning disabilities, found the need for more personalised learning for such children and hence founded Arcadia NIOS.
